The Auschwitz Dandelion

In the 1940s the greenhouses at Rajsko, some two miles from Auschwitz Birkenau, were used to grow a variety of dandelion Taraxacum Kok-Saghyz, for experiments with the production of a synthetic rubber.
In the twenty-first century, greenhouses at Münster in Germany, Kok-Saghyz is grown for experiments with the production of a synthetic rubber for car tyres.
