Throughout 2001, either as a result of prevailing weather conditions or because of the circumstances caused by the Foot and Mouth crises, meadowland grasses grew in profusion.  By magnifying these, both through a microscope and in the enlarger, the meadowland minutiae took a different – and often beautiful – significance.
